Our 13th Golf Day was held on Friday August 23rd. Once again Kettering Golf Club hosted the event, and it was a lovely warm sunny day but a little windy!!!!!
All previous events had Alan Francis at the helm. He has now retired as a Marlow House Trustee, so we were hoping our 13th day would prove as successful as the previous 12. Alan had managed to raise over £33k for Marlow House, an incredible achievement and we cannot thank him enough. He did have an eye on us, and helped whenever asked, and from now on we hope he will continue as a player for many years to come.
Many many thanks to all the teams who entered and so generously supported the event. Thanks to all the companies and individuals who sponsored the event and to Kettering Golf Club for looking after us so well. Between us we raised an unbelievable amount of £ 4,701.
25 teams set off in pursuit of the title of Marlow House Golf Day Champions, including 2 all ladies teams and 2 ladies in mixed teams, which was brilliant.
